The slingback is the heel that bridges day and night: a pointed or cap toe at the front, an adjustable strap at the back, and usually a low kitten or mid block heel. Cassiela's slingback edit covers two-tone cap-toe pairs, tweed and leather styles, patent evening versions and modern block-heel designs, all made to the boutique specification.
How to wear a slingback
Slingbacks work best with hems that show the ankle: cropped trousers, midi skirts and shirt dresses. A kitten-heel slingback is the office standard and walks comfortably all day. Higher slingbacks with a pointed toe are the dressier evening option.
Fit
Order true to size. The back strap is adjustable on most styles, so a slightly roomier fit at the heel is normal and sits correctly once the strap is set. Leather straps soften with wear.
